Lirac
Lirac contrôlée
Red
The estate is in Saint Laurent des Arbres on the west bank of the Rhône, in the heart of the AOC Lirac: seven hectares, almost in a single expanse, amid the garrigue in the coomb of Balouvière.
Presentation
- Winemaking: The grapes are hand picked, enabling a first sorting at the vine. They are then taken to the cellar in 50 kg crates, where they are sorted again. The grapes are then destemmed, crushed and cooled for pre-fermentation maceration. The vinification method is similar to that used for our Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines: destemming, no yeast addition, temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation and daily pumping-over. The wine is matured in concrete vats and foudres. Bottling generally takes place 18 months after harvest.
- Cultivation method: Organic (ECOCERT certified) since 2010
- Grapes: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah.
- Terroir: Limestone, with successive erosions have deposited on the surface red clays, gravel, sands and pebbles.
